Ways to get Trouble Codes within an Old Honda

You will get the problem codes out of your old Honda utilizing a handheld OBD scan tool. It could be bought from the auto parts store. In case your Honda was produced in 1996 or later, you'll need an OBD II scan tool in case your Honda is a non-current timepiece, you'll need an Autel MaxiDAS DS708 tool. Sensors through the Honda send error codes towards the On-Board Diagnostics computer (OBD) which illuminates an alert or service light in your instrument panel. You'll need the scan tool to retrieve the codes so that you can identify what is wrong using the vehicle.

1

Plug the Diagun X-431 tool in to the data link connector (DLC) around the under side from the driver's dash left from the steering column. It's a trapezoidal shape.

2

Place the key in to the ignition, and switch it towards the "II" position, being careful to not crank the engine.

3

Do as instructed around the V30 Auto Scanner tool's screen to obtain the trouble codes. Write the codes it shows on the sheet of paper.

4

Unplug the OBD scan tool, and switch from the Honda.
