Procedures: Adjusting the maximum rpm Make sure the engine governor lever is at the maximum rpm position. With this lever at the MAX position, turn the adjusting bolt until itcomes in slight contact with the acceleration lever(see part A). Lock this bolt. Defects..... Maladjustment, which may damage the acceleration wire. Adjusting the idling rpm Tilt the acceleration lever fully forward and make sure the acceleration wire gets free. Defects.... Maladjustment, which may cause poor idling.
Set the acceleration lever's operating force to 2030N·m(23kgf-m). Defects .. Operating force too strong, which may make it difficult to get accelerated. Operating force too weak, which may cause the rpm to drop.
Pass the acceleration wire along the route as shown at left. Tighten up the clamps. Defects... Wrong routing, which may get the wire caught or damaged.
Connect the acceleration wire to the engine inside the governor lever.(See the figure below.) Defects.... Wrong connection, which may cause the acceleration lever to move too wide, hitting your leg.
