How to Remove EGR Valve Motor for ISUZU 4JJ1 Engine

This instruction show you guide on how to remove and install EGR valve motor for ISUZU 4JJ1 engine.

Steps:
Removal:
1 Disconnect the battery cable negative terminal.
2 Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
3 Remove the EGR valve motor from the EGR valve.

Legend
1 EGR valve motor
2 Spring holder
3 Rod
4 Stopper

NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the screw head.
Do not damage the housing.
Do not touch the spring holder.
When a spacer is attached, do not remove it.
Do not reuse old screws.(ifferent length)

Installation
1. Install the EGR valve motor to the EGR valve.
Set the connector in the same orientation as when the EGR valve motor is removed, and install the EGR valve motor together with the additional spacer and the plate.

1 Spacer (when originally attached)
2 Additional spacer
3 Plate
4 EGR valve motor
The plate has to be installed in a certain orientation, and it should be installed with the concave facing to the EGR valve motor side.

Tighten the screws in the order shown in the diagram.
Tightening torque: 2 N:m (0.2 kg-m/ 17 Ib:in)


NOTE:
Do not pull out the motor shaft.
Prevent any foreign matter from entering or attaching between the housing and the EGR motor.
Do not damage the EGR valve motor installation surface.
Do not damage the connector portion.
Prevent the boot portion from touching the housing.
Align the holes of the EGR valve motor with the screw holes on the housing for installation.

Do not damage the screw head.
Do not reuse old screws.
2. Connect the EGR valve connector.


NOTE:
Confirm the direction of the connector.
3. Connect the battery cable negative terminal.
4. Tur ON/OFF the key so that the valve opening position can be learned.
5. Confirm that the DTC is not lit.
